China Private Equity eyes AIM listing
Mon, 8 Sep 2008, 15:32:00
China Private Equity Investment
(CPE), run by Asian markets veteran Duncan Chui Tak Keung, is expected to list on AIM at the end of the month.
The group, which will invest in Chinese companies, plans to raise about £4m and is expected to have a market capitalisation of around £14m, according to the Financial Times.
"Unlike certain other close-ended private equity funds, which commonly lock investors in for eight to 10 years, we aim to exit within three to five years in order to maximise shareholder value," Chui told the paper.
"We have the experience and necessary contacts, in addition to a pipeline of companies in which to invest, to underpin this strategy," he added.
