Today sees the launch of a new global
current account by
HSBC, described as offering an enhanced level of service and benefits over regular 24 x 7
bank accounts.
According to
HSBC, the
HSBC Advance
current account gives customers access to preferential rates and prices on products and services provided by the bank, at a cost of £12.95 per month.
For example, holders of the
current account can avail of a Lifetime Tracker
mortgage at 2.49% with a maximum loan-to-value of 75%, as well as a regular
savings account paying a rate of 8%, fixed for 12 months.
The bank's Brendan Cook comments that the
current account brings together "the best of HSBC" for customers.
"We believe
HSBC Advance has an unrivalled mix of ongoing benefits such as UK roadside breakdown cover and annual worldwide family
travel insurance, together with exclusive discounts on our products and services which our customers can benefit from as their financial needs change," he continues.
Also available to Advance account holders are a 12-month fixed-rate
cash ISA paying up to 2.85%, £3,000 of
life insurance cover and 10% cashback on
personal loan interest costs.
For UK customers, Advance replaces the Plus
current account.
