A certain range of credit cards from Lloyds TSB offer customers the chance to earn something back on their spending overseas.
The bank's Airmiles Duo credit card customers will allow people to earn double airmiles when they use their card to spend on holiday. This could prove beneficial for a substantial number of Britons.
Indeed, research from the bank found that 54 per cent of Brits are planning on taking an overseas holiday this year. Among the 18 to 24-year-old age group, this figure rises to 58 per cent, as well as in the over-55 bracket.
And, while the majority (70 per cent) of people will just take one holiday this year, 24 per cent are managing to go twice, while five per cent are planning on holidaying between four and six times a year.
Richard Thomas, head of Loyalty Credit Cards at Lloyds TSB, commented: "This research shows that a desire for rest and relaxation as well as a thirst for adventure continue to fuel Britain's love affair with jumping on a plane and jetting off overseas."
He added that travellers should work to make their spending work for them. "Using Lloyds Airmiles Duo Credit Cards on purchases made overseas earns double Airmiles so holiday makers can start putting something towards their next holiday straight away," advised Mr Thomas.
