Car Insurance are available through the
Abbey website, and through price comparison sites, Tescocompare.com, Gocompare.com, InsuranceWide and Moneysupermarket.com. Further collaborations with aggregate sellers are to take place over the coming year.
The insurance includes roadside and home breakdown cover, which incorporates the provision of emergency travel and accommodation should the policyholder find themselves stuck away from home.
Policyholders can also claim insurance when traveling within the EU on trips lasting 30 days or less.
In-car entertainment and navigation systems up to the value of £500 are covered on comprehensive policies, along with £100 worth of personal effects.
Equity Direct’s sales director, David Birch, claims the collaboration is a positive move for both firms. He says, "Equity has developed a proven track record of delivering tailored
motor insurance products. The group's in-depth sector experience, flexibility and competitive rates make it an ideal trading partner."
