Bonuses are on offer for anyone switching current accounts to one with Santander.
The bank is offering customers a £25 Amazon voucher if they open a Santander Preferred Current Account through moneysupermarket.com. However, customers who choose to switch with Santander’s dedicated switching service stand to gain £100 cashback as well.
To take advantage of this offer customers need to move their current accounts between 8 and 28 August this year. Once they decide to do so, the bank will have all of their existing standing orders, bill payments and direct debits transferred.
Using the bank’s switching service will also allow most customers to maintain the overdraft facility they benefited from at their previous provider.
Helen Bierton, head of current accounts at Santander, commented: “Customers tell us they like our best buy Preferred Current Account because of the five per cent in-credit interest, made even more attractive by the offer of £100 to switch.
“On top of that, for a limited period only, they will also get £25 Amazon voucher when they open their account through moneysupermarket.com.”
She added that the “hassle-free switching service” takes care of the process of moving, making “the whole package very attractive”.
